Komagome, Tokyo - Second Drumming Lesson, then Lunch in Nezu
ブログ
I had my second regular drumming lesson today at Komagome in Tokyo. Afterwards, I went to Nezu, where my wife joined me for lunch after her weekend sports.
During today’s drumming lesson, the topic was learning and playing different 8th-note patterns. Here is a short example of me trying to play along to “1979” by The Smashing Pumpkins.
The lesson was fun, and as usual, the one hour passed really quickly. Upon exiting the building, I took a photo of some decorative figures in the lobby / waiting area of the building.

I then rode the Yamanote Line and Chiyoda Line for two stops each, in order to reach Nezu, where my wife was about to join me for lunch after completing her Saturday morning sports.
We went to kitchen haco, a nice small restaurant whose lunch specialty is a healthy set meal (teishoku) with a delicious main dish of chicken and burdock rice. For dessert, we had an iced café au lait and gluten-free banana bread. Everything was very good.
