Japan 2006, Day 10 - Inuyama, Nagoya

2006年の初訪日:10日目(犬山、名古屋)

Short photographic travelogue of day 10 of my first-ever trip to Japan in the spring of 2006.

All photos shot with Nikon digital SLRs, edited in Adobe Lightroom 5.7 / LR Classic.

On day 10 of my first trip to Japan in 2006, I met in Nagoya with another local photography buddy, and we took a train to Inuyama. It rained for most of the day, but that didn’t deter us from walking to explore Inuyama Castle. On the way there, we passed Enmyoji Temple.

At the foot of Inuyama Castle is Haritsuna Shrine, where we were surprisingly greeted by a parade or colorful chicken.

Inuyama Castle is a beautiful and fairly compact site. From top of the main tower, there was a nice view of the surrounding scenery.

After a fun few hours in Inuyama, I returned to Nagoya, where at night I took some seasonal photos of illuminated Nagoya Castle.
