At the Inner Shrine (Naiku) of Ise Grand Shrine (Ise Jingu) in Mie Prefecture, Japan, this is an Ablution Site (Mitarashi) along the Isuzugawa River.

Ise Jingū is located in Ise City. It consists of two shrines: the Outer Shrine (Gekū, 外宮), which is dedicated to Toyouke, the kami of clothing, food and housing, and the Inner Shrine (Naikū, 内宮), which enshrines Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess. They are Shinto’s most sacred shrines.
