Honden Perspective, Kitano Tenmangu, Kyoto, Japan

京都・北野天満宮

A perspective shot along the decorative details of the Honden, the Main Hall at Kitano Tenmangū Shrine in Kyoto, Japan.

Kitano Tenmangu is one of Japan’s most important Tenmangu shrines (along with Dazaifu Tenmangu in Fukuoka Prefecture), meaning that it is frequented by students who come here to pray for success in exams.

On my Profile Page, you can see a photo of me taken at the very moment when I shot this image.

Shot with Mamiya 6 and 50mm f/4 lens on Fujicolor Pro 400H medium-format film.
Developed and scanned by
CarmencitaFilm Lab.
